Methodist Women

The members of First Methodist Women raise approximately $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth throughout the United States and in more than 100 countries worldwide.

The women of Fort Payne First Methodist Church have a history of supporting many local projects such as the Back-To-School Fair, Youth Christmas Mission, Embrace Alabama Kids, Kelly’s Rainbow, a local domestic violence shelter, Serving Our Savior Ministry, Vacation Bible School, and World Missions. They also have the honor of awarding scholarships to recipients through the money raised annually.

First Methodist Women welcomes all who have committed themselves to our purpose:    to be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom through Jesus Christ and to develop fellowship supporting various mission projects through the Global Methodist Church.

Susanna Wesley Sub-Group
The Susanna Wesley Sub-Group is compromised by ladies who have reached the “empty nest” time in their lives. We are developing a creative, supportive fellowship with other Methodist women and our main goal is to get to know and support one another. We participate in church ministries by raising money, praying, and assisting in our church’s various mission projects. Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:00pm in Cobble Hall.
